I think I am optimistic, active and full of energy. I always look on the bright side of my life and I have a great passion for everything I like. I'm willing to help others as well, as long as I am capable of helping the thing. And whenever there is someone in a bad mood or feeling down, I would concern about he or she and cheer them up. I also like to take exercise a lot, such as badminton and volleyball. I’ve played badminton since I was just ten years old, and I am in the school team now. As to volleyball, it was not until I entered my high school that I started to play it. Almost everyone in my school loves to play volleyball, and I am no exception, because it is one of the traditions in my high school.

Of all the subjects, English has been my favorite one since I was a junior high school student; consequently, after I was admitted to National Taiwan Commercial Vocational School, I chose the Department of Applied Foreign Language to learn more about English. Among all the abilities of English, my listening ability is the best. And I think it could be attributed to my mother, for my mother likes to watch foreign movies on TV channels such as HBO and Starmovies. So I watched those movies with her even though I was just a little child. And that’s why my listening ability is better, now I also make it a habit to listen to ICRT (International Community Radio Taipei), which is a broadcaster I listen to when I am on the way to school by bus every morning. By doing so with expectations in my mind, I hope my listening ability will improve gradually to a new level.

I think nothing cannot be done with efforts. I believe that as long as I am willing to do with efforts, everything will be done successfully. I once saw a question on the TV, “Chance or fate, which one will you choose?” In my opinion, the answer is chance. If only I seize the chance, any fate can be changed dramatically. And that’s my attitude toward life.

Future Perspective

After studying at the best vocational school in Tainan, I hope to be admitted to National Taiwan University Of Science And Technology. I would like to advance all aspects of my English skills gradually during the four years at university. I'll put emphasis on speaking and listening abilities, and then writing and reading abilities. The reason why I emphasize mainly on speaking and listening is because the abilities are basic communication skills, and the skills are important for people to interact with others. As for the two rest abilities, they are necessarities which I, as a student majors in English, should be equipped with. Afterwards, if there is much time for me to use, I'd like to learn translation and commerce as well. On the one hand is because I have interest in them; on the other hand, they are useful for my future so that my competency will not be limited with only English. Finally, maybe after graduating from university, and my English abilities reach a certain level, I want to go abroad to learn foreign cultures and live with foreigners so as to enhance my ability of communication and learn their living pace.

I liked to play around with my father's computer. One day I accidentally deleted one of my father's important files. I was so scared that my father would be furious with me. However, it was not the case. My father gave me a gift instead of punishment. I was so surprised. Guess what? Yes, I got a new computer. Ever since then, I have been addicted to computers, especially after the emerging of the Internet. Surfing the net has been one of my greatest hobbies.

Beyond doubt, the importance of the e-era has brought most powerful revolution to the business world. We have won many contests and had been invited by the Mayor to perform in City Hall. I am also the member of art club, for I enjoy sketching and painting very much.

Every time when I have chance, I would go to the music theater to listen to symphony and orchestra performances. There is not once I would not be moved by the music. I really admire those musicians' talent, passion and dedication to music. I wish one day I would be able to become one of them, performing on the stage and touring around the world. Few months ago, one of my best friends went abroad for advanced studying. Now, she lives in New York with her host family. We have known each other since we were kids for we were neignbors and grew together for at least ten years. She is shorter than me by five centimeters or so, and she is average weight. Besides, she dyed her hair brown before going abroad. As to her appearance, she has big eyes and a tall and straight nose. And she was many boys' ideal object of courtship when she was in the senior high school because she looks very delicate and pretty with white skin and slender figure. I miss her very much and want to meet her as soon as possible after she comes back to Taiwan.

In recent years, health consciousness has raisen all over the world. Many healthful products are also sold on the market. In my opinion, a couple of methods can allow you to keep healthy easily in your daily life. The first thing you should do is exercise more and regularly. Exercising can not only keep you healthy but also have your figure stay in a good shape. Next, retain a good eating habit. Drink more water instead of beverage and eat more vegetables rather than meat. Finally, eat less fast food and junk food like snacks at ordinary times, and don't eat extra meals after having dinner. Follow the tips above, and your health may get better and better.

There was a trip that I remembered very clearly. I had been to Thailand for five days with my mother and brother on the summer vacation when I was at the age of ten. On one of the five days, I did lots of water sports,including diving and feeding the tropical fish in the water. After that exhausting day, I felt very tired, so I took a shower and wanted to sleep at once. But my mother and brother wanted to go to the convenient store, asking me whether I would like to go with them. But I declined, so they left me alone in the room. Before sleeping, I did such a stupid thing that I locked the door together with the two security locks. Because of what I had done, my mother and brother were locked outside by me. Worst of all, my mother spent five hundred dollars having the hotel staff tear down the door which connected with the next room. The most ridiculous thing was that I didn't wake up during the whole night! I didn't know what I had done until the next day morning. And everyone in the same tour was laughing at me the next day whenever they saw me. Now, I still consider that I was very silly about doing that thing.

The pressure from school has done lots of effects on many students. One of the first thing is that it causes some mental and physical problems. For example,it may lead to girls' menstrual disorder or ordinary students' constipation, which perplex students deeply. Additionally, it also brings about headaches and bedazzles students a lot. Many students become very upset for suffering too much pressure from their school. On the other hand, those pressure may probably inspire students to study harder, making them reach higher achievements. To sum up, the pressure from school should be appropriate and it may do well for students.

I'm hiring a new English instructor for my school. After reading the two resumes from Lynn Whitenall and Debra Fines, I think I would choose the latter, and there are some reasons below. First, Debra is more educational than Lynn. The former has three educations, while the latter has only one. Additionally, Lynn doesn't  have much employment experience, her experience has only three times. In contrast, Debra's experience is very rich that she has five times. Finally, although Lynn can speak three different languages, which is more than the other's one language only, it is not a problem for me to choose Debra. Because I just want to hire a English instructor. For the points above, I think Debra is the perfect teacher I will choose.

Owing to the activity, there must be many protesters who are against the behavior for the rights of the animals in the law. Moreover, the results of the animals in the experiments which are conducted by the researchers don't always correspond to those are done on people. If the consequence on people doesn't meet the results done on animals, then the animals are the sacrifice of the experiments. Eventually, the animals' gene is possibly changed during the experiments. If some animals escape one day, then they may reproduce their generation and develop strange genes. That will cause a big problem for other creations to be disturbed by the mutant animals. For the views above, it is very improper for researchers to perform the experiments on animals.

It means that if I choose the latter, I have to sleep with my friend in the same room, but if I choose the former, we can have individual rooms. Next, the former has furniture already; in contrast, the latter hasn't yet. Third, the former doesn't allow pets, whereas the latter does. Finally, the former is expensive than the latter. The rent of the former is 1250 a month; on the other hand, the rent of the latter is only 900 per month. For the differences above, I think I have to discuss with my friend for a couple day. Maybe I should ask whether she owns pets or not, or does she has any better ideas about other apartments.

There was a trip that I remembered very clearly. I had been to Thailand for five days with my mother and brother on the summer vacation when I was at the age of ten. On one of the five days, I did lots of water sports,including diving and feeding the tropical fish in the water. After that exhausting day, I felt very tired, so I took a shower and wanted to sleep at once. But my mother and brother wanted to go to the convenient store, asking me whether I would like to go with them. But I declined, so they left me alone in the room. Before sleeping, I did such a stupid thing that I locked the door together with the two security locks. Because of what I had done, my mother and brother were locked outside by me. Worst of all, my mother spent five hundred dollars having the hotel staff tear down the door which connected with the next room. The most ridiculous thing was that I didn't wake up during the whole night! I didn't know what I had done until the next day morning. And everyone in the same tour was laughing at me the next day whenever they saw me. Now, I still consider that I was very silly about doing that thing.

She said that she had stayed in the hospital for six months because of a car accident. Therefore, her legs were broken and she had to do rehabilitation of her legs three hours a day. From then on, I began to go to see her and accompany with her when I had free time. I would help her do the rehabilitations and keep her from being hurt. With the time we got together longer, we knew each other much more. But I had never seen her family, she told me that her husband died five years ago and her daughter was married and lived in the USA. I could feel that she was lonely from her expression when she was talking about her daughter. Two months later, her daughter came to the hospital with her husband and children for picking her back home. I saw the elderly woman’s face appear happiness. I think nothing is more important than family, owning to family is the most happiest thing!
